Unlimited Locations - An unlimited number of locations can be setup to manage and track your belongings.  You can setup your own locations or select from a list of predefined locations.  A location can be defined as a room in your home, automobile, boat, your summer or winter home, your RV or even a jewelry box.  You can attach an unlimited number of pictures, documents, proof of purchases or receipts to each of your locations.  You can quickly see how many items are in a location, the total cost paid for the items and what the market value in each location..

Predefined Categories - Categories provide you with the ability to classify your inventory, making it easier to organize and manage.   A Safe Spot has defined seventeen categories and each category captures different information.  For example a belonging that is classified as an Automobile would capture the VIN# and a belonging in an Electronic category would capture the serial number.  The following categories are available:

Unlimited Belongings - An unlimited  number of belongings can be setup to be managed and tracked.  Each belonging is classified according to the appropriate category, the category dictates what fields of information are captured with each belonging.   A Belonging generically captures the category, item description, purchased from, purchased date, location, quantity, cost, market value, comments/description, warranty information and images. Depending on the category selected the belonging may additionally capture make, model, serial number, ID #, condition, artist, title, key, manufacturer, version, VIN#, hull #, year, license/registration #, tag #, options, style, gender, stone/shape/metal or type.  The only required fields are the category and item description.

Warranty Information - Each belonging can have warranty information associated with it.  Just imagine quickly and easily determining if an item is still under warranty and what is covered.  The warranty address information, expiration date, phone number, email address, web site, additional information and images of the warranty can be attached to each belonging.

Images, Documents or Videos - Each belonging or location can have unlimited number of images, documents or videos associated with it.  An image could be a picture taken with a digital camera, an image scanned with your scanner, documents could be PDF files, word documents, excel spreadsheets and any video's that you have taken with your video camera.
